The gym hall of the primary school in the village of Ljubatovići, Municipality of Žepče, was used by the HVO from 26 june 1993 to 31 March 1994 as a detention facility for Bosniak civilians. The prisoners were kept in overcrowded rooms, subjecteded to inhumane conditions, forced displacement, interrogations, abuse and beatings.

No one has yet been held responsible for the crimes committed at this facility. The Žepče Group case has been referred by the ICTY to the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH.
