Old school building in Rizvanovići

During the summer of 1992, units of the Army of Republika Srpska set up a checkpoint near the old school building in Rizvanovići where they unlawfully detained non-Serbs from the Prijedor area. At least ten people were killed at this site.

In the case of Sikirica et al., the ICTY convicted Duško Sikirica and sentenced him to 15 years in in prison for forcibly transferring non-Serbs from Prijedor to detention facilities in the Prijedor area. The Appellate Chamber of the Court of BiH overturned the judgement convicting Sretko Pavić and sentencing him to 13 years in prison for crimes against humanity committed in the summer of 1992 in Rizvanovići in the Prijedor area and returned the case for a retrial.
